?I Feel Pretty?from the visionary Director who has brought you absolutely nothing, comes this film. Watch as the director and writer, Abby Kohn, takes a fragile ideology in society today (women have to live up to certain physical standards) and watch as the film makes fun of Amy Schumer for 2 hours. So, I can't talk much about the film because I walked out halfway through because this film is a contradiction in itself. It's about Renee (Amy Schumer) over coming her low self esteem because she hit her head on a bike really hard and now she thinks she is the most beautiful girl ever. But she realizes that it is self confidence that makes her beautiful and not her physical appearance. But the butt of every joke in this film pertains to either Renee's weight or how stupid she is. What a terrible acting choice for Amy Schumer though. I actually felt bad for her because Amy Schumer isn't the worst looking person ever and they cast her in this film because they needed someone for that role. Also she is incredibly annoying as a comedian so that's not helping. It felt like a terrible episode of like Family Guy where there is juvenile humour but a moral to the episode. There would be these terrible jokes and mockery of someone's weight then the next scene would be really sincere and emotional about Renee and her physical self. Like I said, a total contradiction. That also plays into the inconsistent tone and scenes that are just there so that Amy Schumer can do terrible improv. There is also lots of obvious product placement; Figi Water, Target. I felt that this film is a scam because it was made for 32 million. Truth or fucking Dare cost 3 million. There is no reason why this should be 32 million dollars. Michelle Williams has this terrible accent that was just incredibly annoying. Lots of careless mistakes. This film just felt like a pilot for Amy Schumer to do stupid shit and someone makes a buck. Don't see this film because it will probably just mock you and make fun of you.
