I understand that not everyone is affected by or has even noticed that Sam as a character has been mostly relegated to the background, but please don't be dismissive or rude to those of us who wish he had as pronounced a story arc as Dean or the ensemble cast.

A character design doesn't need to be 100% grounded in reality to be acceptable or justified. All that matters is if you like what you made.

Don't curb your design sense to justify it for the sake of people that aren't you.
