We’re thinkin’ Pumpkin Spice Chia Pudding on repeat all week, who’s with us? ? Recipe Below: ? Pudding ingredients: ¼ cup chia seeds ½ cup almond milk ½ cup pumpkin puree 1tbsp maple syrup 1 tsp pumpkin spice ½ vanilla extract ¼ cup Pumpkin Pie Paleonola 1 fig ? Directions: Combine all ingredients into a bowl, except the Paleonola and fig. Stir well and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir the chia pudding again. This will help with clumping once it has set. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator overnight or up to 1 hour. When you are ready to enjoy, garnish with Pumpkin Pie Paleonola and figs.

Nutrition/food post #2 Consistency over YEARS is what matters most. I recently had a client be told they needed to either a) work out more or b) cut more calories because their body fat has been trending down slowly. WUT, WHY? Unless you have an event you HAVE to make a certain weight for, slow change toward a distant goal IS the goal. This client isn’t hungry, their energy is great, they work out plenty, and they eat ENOUGH. A small change month over month for years will result in a body composition that is enviable without constant hunger, deprivation, hormonal craziness and so on. I’ve experienced this first hand. When I started #fitnessing I had lost 70lbs through changing my diet to #Primal. I didn’t track calories, but eating only non-processed foods keeps overall consumption pretty low (eating over 1500 calories from only unprocessed sources is a challenge that takes some real intention). I weighed 135 and was a size zero. I started working out and made no change to my diet upon doing so. So I was working out more and increasing my calorie deficit, albeit unintentionally. I gained 35lbs and was puffy, exhausted, had insomnia, I was constantly irritable, and I did some serious damage to my hormonal balance that took years to correct. This photo was after 10+ months of eating well over 2k calories a day, every day without fail, and at the point that photo was taken I was closer to 3k. I weighed about 150 and my body fat percentage was the lowest it’s ever been coupled with great sleep, energy, and mood. The first 4 months of doing so I lost maybe 4lbs total before the ball started rolling. 1lb a month, but that’s so slow! Slow and steady is the goal. Eat enough, consistently for months and years and ideally the rest of your life. Adjust how much you’re eating to meet the needs of your life during that phase of life. More tomorrow. guysssss- hot cocoa is my jam. i won’t keep you waiting but let me just say- this one is epic. spicy mexican hot chocolate: boil water. mix 1 tbsp cacao, 1 tsp @lakanto, a pinch of cayenne (very very small pinch), and a touch of cinnamon. add 1/2 cup water, froth. froth 1/2 c @almondbreeze almond milk (from the FRIDGE section) and pour on top. enjoy!
